US President Donald Trump has announced his intention to launch a series of initiatives to promote health and wellness, especially on the part of the pharmaceutical giants Pfizer and Eli Lilly.
“I know it’s hard to talk about it. I have to tell you, it’s very difficult. I’ve been around a long time. I’ve been to different places, but for me, it is just the right thing to do,” Trump said during a teleconference with analysts. “And so, I’m talking about a series of things, like the health benefits of Viagra. But there is not much that I have to say about that, because it is very difficult.”
The President said the drug maker Pfizer and Lilly will continue to sell Viagra to consumers as well as to other pharmaceutical companies, including Novartis and Eli Lilly. “That is a very positive development,” Trump said.
